Chittenden Bank, a division of People’s United Bank announced today that Melissa Whitmore has joined the Wealth Management Division as the Senior Retirement Plans Manager. Whitmore will be responsible for statewide oversight of existing and new client relationships related to employer sponsored retirement plans including 401(k), 403(b), profit sharing, money purchase and defined benefit plans. Her responsibilities encompass review of investment quality, plan design, administration and employee education. Whitmore graduated from Lesley College with a BS in Organizational Behavior. She holds a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). Whitmore is active in the Vermont community and is currently a board member with the Vermont Achievement Center, business advisory council member with Vermont Association of Business Industry and Rehabilitation, Trustee of Public Funds for the Town of Wallingford and a volunteer with Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports.
