Cartwright was previously employed by Child Travel/Albany Travel as a corporate agent for many years. “We are very happy to have Laurie re-join our team”, states Ted Child, president and owner of Child Travel/Albany Travel. “Laurie’s familiarity with our corporate clients and technology services makes her uniquely prepared to help our corporate clients and their travelers manage their travel plans as well their travel budgets”.
With 24 years in the travel industry, Cartwright worked with area businesses to provide travel services for clients both large and small. She was also responsible for training agents and working as the key liaison between Child Travel/Albany Travel and corporate travelers. Following nine years with Child Travel/Albany Travel, Laurie worked for several years managing the air department for Vermont Bicycle Tours. In her new role, Cartwright will assist corporate accounts in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Concur, a 24/7 online booking tool that uses state of the art technology to help travelers book and manage their travel needs. In addition, Concur allows travel managers to monitor and control travel expenditures and provides reporting services for corporate travel expenses.
