David S. Silverman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank, has joined the Board of Directors of the Lamoille Economic Development Corporation. Silverman has been with Union Bank since 1986 and was recently promoted to CEO as part of a succession leadership plan that began in 2010.
In addition to his career at Union Bank, Silverman has been an active member of the community and currently serves as Treasurer of Copley Professional Services Group. Previously, he held positions with the Stowe Area Association, Morristown/Morrisville Development Review Board, Town of Hardwick Electric Department and was on the Board of Directors of Lamoille County Mental Health. Concerning his joining the LEDC Board, Silverman says, “I am very pleased to have been asked to join the Board of the LEDC, an organization with which I have worked closely over the years. I look forward to assisting them in continuing to meet their mission of furthering job creation and job retention in Lamoille County.”
