Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice in Barre has elected two new members, Connie Colman and Fred Grubb, to serve on its board of directors.
Before retiring, Colman led quality efforts at Central Vermont Home Health and at the state level. She facilitated CVHHH’s quality and clinical risk programs with focused initiatives in fall reduction, telemonitoring, infection control and regulatory compliance.
Colman currently serves on the Central Vermont Medical Center Board of Trustees and on the board of Spruce Mountain Inn, a residential and transitional living program for young adults with mental-health issues. She formerly chaired The Vermont Program for Quality in Health Care, a peer-review organization designated by the Vermont Legislature.
Grubb moved to Vermont in 1994 as a director of human resources for Cabot Creamery and Agri-Mark. Shortly thereafter, he founded and maintained a successful national human-resources consulting business focusing on labor relations, strategic planning, executive recruitment and compensation. For the next 23 years, his clients included well-known Fortune 500 firms and Vermont businesses and state government.
Now retired, Grubb serves as a hospice volunteer and can often be found playing the ukulele and singing at local nursing homes in central Vermont.
