Burr & Betsy Morse of Morse Farm in East Montpelier have been welcomed as Honorary Chairs of Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice’s Spring Campaign. In their letter to Friends of CVHHH, which was mailed to hundreds of members of the community at the end of May, Burr & Betsy note the importance of CVHHH’s work in promoting independence.
“Folks prefer if at all possible to receive health care in their homes. The outcomes are consistently good, less expensive than being hospitalized and individuals’ independence is maintained. One thing that has not changed [in CVHHH’s 105-year history] is the importance of restoring and preserving independence and improving the quality of life in central Vermont,” write Burr & Betsy.
With a family line going back seven generations, the Morse Family has made many real contributions to improving the quality of life in central Vermont — with their delicious, local maple products, famous creemees, grass-fed beef, Christmas trees and more. Similarly, CVHHH helps central Vermonters improve their quality of life every day through education, skilled nursing and therapy care, chronic illness and disease management, and medication management support. All of this work helps central Vermonters take ownership over their health care, to be more independent.
“We are very pleased that Burr and Betsy agreed to serve as our honorary campaign chairs,” said Daniel L. Pudvah, CVHHH’s Director of Development. “The Morses are well-known, respected members of our community. Their strong support of CVHHH and its various services is greatly appreciated and their endorsement of this campaign will generate widespread support.”
