Karen Vincent, former senior talent acquisition consultant at National Life Group, has been hired as director of human resources at Wake Robin, a life plan retirement community in Shelburne.
Prior to her three-year tenure at National Life, Vincent worked for more than 20 years at the University of Vermont Medical Center, where she held several positions. She served her final 10 years there as a physician relations specialist.
Vincent said she is delighted to return to health care and be a part of a mission-driven organization in her local community. “It is hard for me to think of a more meaningful opportunity than supporting Wake Robin employees so that they can support our residents,” she said.
Also in July, Wake Robin welcomed three new members to its board of directors. They are Barbara Arel, associate dean at the University of Vermont's Grossman School of Business; Sarah Cocina, associate portfolio manager at Hanson & Doremus Investment Management in Burlington; and Sarah Merritt, retired chief human resources officer at Brookline Bancorp in Boston.
“We’re looking forward to the new ideas and support these three new members will bring to our highly accomplished board,” said President and CEO Meagan Buckley. “Their experience will be invaluable as we continue working to enhance the lives of our residents.”
