Vermont Parent Child Center Network hires inaugural director

Ellen Amstutz

Ellen Amstutz, former senior program officer for community-based programs and external affairs at DOROT, a New York City-based social services organization serving older adults, has been named inaugural director of the Vermont Parent Child Center Network.

VPCCN serves as a connecting entity that provides leadership, advocacy and collaboration to support  15 parent-child centers across the state of Vermont.

Amstutz’s career has been devoted to mission-driven social services for those most in need, including families with children. She is a graduate of the University of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and holds a Master of Social Work and a doctoral degree in social welfare policy and research, both from Columbia University.

“I am excited about the role of network director and how my skills and experience can build upon the network’s goal of strengthening services for children and families across the state of Vermont,” Amstutz said.
