VABVI welcomes members of the community onto board

The Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (VABVI) would like to welcome the following esteemed members of the community onto our Board of Directors:

Robert Lanoue of Springfield, a retired culinary instructor
Tom Heinrich of Colchester, a returning board member and Sales Manager at SymQuest
Jody Oakman of Brattleboro, Operations Manager at Brattleboro Savings & Loan
James Ouellette (Board Treasurer) of Essex Junction, Comptroller at O’Brien Brothers Agency
Marion Mueller of Manchester, retired administrative assistant

VABVI’s services are managed by our Board of Directors. Board members are elected for three-year terms, with one third of the Board up for election each year on a rotating basis. We are extremely grateful for their support and expertise.

VABVI was founded in 1926 with the assistance of Helen Keller and the American Foundation for the Blind. We are the only private, non‑profit organization in the state providing comprehensive support services for visually impaired Vermonters of all ages. VABVI offices are located in Brattleboro, Montpelier, Rutland and South Burlington.
