Two new providers join Central Vermont Medical Center

Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin recently welcomed pathologist Douglas J Kim, MD, and emergency department physician assistant Deborah Governale to its practice.

Kim returns to Vermont after six years of practicing medicine in the Dallas region. He provides a full range of body tissue and lab exams, collaborating closely with health care providers to establish a medical diagnosis and treatment plan.

Governale grew up on a dairy and maple sugaring farm in Cambridge, VT. After graduating from Loyola College, she moved to Portland, OR, where she gained clinical experience as a CT/MRI aide. She then attended Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, before moving back to Vermont in 2010 to begin working at UVM Medical Center’s emergency department until her move to CVMC.
