Rutland Young Professionals recently welcomed five new members to its board of directors, led by board president Kim Rupe.
The Rutland Young Professionals board of directors leads the nonprofit organization, which began in 2013 and currently serves more than 300 paid members and friends of RYP across the greater Rutland Region.
Rutland Young Professionals’ new board members have diverse experiences and backgrounds, bringing a wealth of talent in areas including marketing, health care, entrepreneurship, and law to help meet the evolving needs of RYP’s members and other young professionals in the greater community.
New board members include Matt Britt from Heritage Family Credit Union (who will also serve as secretary), Amy Laramie from Killington/Pico Resorts, Jacob Pluta from White Cap Realty, Vanessa Robertson from Facey Goss & McPhee P.C., and Fran Sun from Rutland Regional Medical Center and Shark + Sparrow Clothing.
“We’re walking into a year where community leaders are needed now more than ever before, and I am incredibly confident in this group of young professionals to help lead the greater Rutland Region this coming year,” said RYP President Kim Rupe. “Our board of directors remain committed to continuing to provide networking and professional development opportunities, and I’m looking forward to working with this amazing group of leaders who I know will accomplish great things together.”
Rupe, who serves as assistant director at Rutland Economic Development Corporation, recently began her term as president. Rupe has been an active member of RYP since 2016, including serving on various committees.
The organization’s newest board members join current board members Alex Adams from Carpenter & Costin and Dan Warnecke from United Way of Rutland County. Laura Pierce of Rutland Regional Medical Center will remain on the board as immediate past-president, along with newly-elected president-elect Elicia (Mailhiot) Pinsonault from Rutland Economic Development Corporation, and treasurer Drew Smith from GE – Aviation.
