MyWebGrocer announces new hires for July

MyWebGrocer is pleased to announce seven additions to their team during the month of July. The company added members to their departments of software engineers, system analysts, business intelligence engineers and sales executives.

Fordyce Garfield joins MyWebGrocer as a new software engineer. Mr. Garfield comes to the company from Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, where he was a software engineer. Prior to that, Mr. Garfield graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He grew up in Montpelier and now resides in Essex Junction. Away from the office Mr. Garfield enjoys canoeing, camping and playing his guitar.

Eric Allard is the latest software engineer to join the Plan2Gro Development Team. Before joining MyWebGrocer, Mr. Allard owned a small software consulting business in Colchester, where he mainly worked on software development; his business was one of the first in the area to begin iPhone application development. Mr. Allard has lived in the Burlington area for his entire life, and in his personal time he enjoys hiking, ultra-running, brewing beer and cider, and playing 80’s music on the guitar.

John Cicilio is a new senior software engineer for MyWebGrocer. For the past 26 years, Mr. Cicilio has lived in Vermont. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and loves technology.

Heather King is the new systems analyst working with the Consumer Products team. Prior to coming to MyWebGrocer, Ms. King worked as the team lead on the Technical Publications Team for Allscripts Healthcare Solutions. Ms. King also worked as a quality and systems analyst for medical and insurance software. Currently, she lives in Underhill with her husband and three sons and in her time away from the office Ms. King enjoys cooking, hiking and cross-country skiing.

Steve Simon is the new senior business intelligence engineer at MyWebGrocer. Mr. Simon has been involved with database design and analysis for the past 26 years. Mr. Simon gained additional experience working for the State Street Corporation in Boston, MA. Mr. Simon has presented at the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) conferences across North America, in Johannesburg, South Africa, and more recently, Montreal. In his spare time, Mr. Simon enjoys reading and walking.

David Narwid is a new sales executive at MyWebGrocer. Mr. Narwid worked at Northern Power Systems in Barre as their senior inside sales representative, selling 100-kilowatt wind turbines. Mr. Narwid was born in New Jersey and moved to Vermont over 23 years ago; he currently resides in Colchester. His interests outside of work include fishing, grilling, biking and gardening.

Ken Park joins the company as a business intelligence intern. Mr. Park is completing his junior year at Cornell University where he is studying Computer Science. Mr. Park is originally from South Korea and moved to the United States in the fifth grade. Outside of his work and studies, Mr. Park is leading small bible study groups.
