Bill Young, Executive Director of Maple Leaf Farm is pleased to announce the hiring of Adele Nicols as an Addictions Treatment Counselor. Adele recently graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the Union Institute and University in Brattleboro, VT. She spent 10 years in the field of special education and has 13 years experience as an independent advocate/consultant for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. After living in Warren for 15 years, Adele has recently moved to Montpelier where she has opened a private counseling practice with a special focus on traumatic stress and substance abuse. Adele is also known as an accomplished jazz vocalist and music educator.
Maple Leaf Farm is a residential substance abuse treatment center licensed by the State of Vermont and is nationally accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Last year, 812 patients spent 12,566 days at Maple Leaf Farm.
