Magic Mountain Ski Area has announced the promotion of Director of Mountain Operations Paul Maitland to general manager. With this promotion, all business-unit and operations managers will report directly to Maitland.
“Paul has earned the respect of our staff in not only successfully managing the mountain operations group but also bringing more staff input into all aspects of the business as we keep evolving Magic’s growth strategy through the end of this decade and beyond,” President Geoff Hatheway said.
Maitland has served as Magic's mountain operations director since November 2022. Prior to that, he worked for six years as mountain manager at Stratton Mountain Resort.
