Burke Mountain Resort has hired hotel industry veteran Dennis Barquinero as general manager of the Burke Mountain Hotel. Barquinero joins Burke from Vail Resorts, where he served as senior director of lodging operations at the company’s mid-Atlantic and Northeast resorts, including Liberty Mountain in Pennsylvania, Hunter Mountain in New York, and Mount Snow and Okemo Mountain, both in Vermont.
Barquinero began his career in hospitality running independent Massachusetts hotels and inns, including The White Elephant and Harbor House Village on Nantucket, Blantyre in Lenox and The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge.
He is a graduate of Assumption College and holds a certificate in professional development from Cornell University.
