Environmental and social justice advocate Becca Dill has been named director of Energize Vermont, a statewide nonprofit founded to promote energy and climate policies protecting Vermont’s environment. Dill joins EV from the Louisiana Environmental Action Network, where she worked with Louisiana communities to advocate for environmental justice. Along with her work at LEAN, Dill conducted community-engagement efforts to support social justice initiatives, ranging from food insecurity to landlord-tenant rights.
“I am eager to bring my passion and energy to Energize Vermont,” Dill said. “I look forward to working with Vermont communities to support energy and climate policies that protect the environment, preserve Vermont’s unique natural resources and respect our communities.”
Energize Vermont board chair Mark Whitworth welcomed Dill’s appointment.
“Her experience with policy advocacy and community engagement will be invaluable in furthering Energize Vermont’s work on behalf of an energy future for our state that achieves Vermont’s climate goals while respecting our environment and engaging our communities,” Whitworth said.
