The Center for Women & Enterprise Vermont (CWEVT) is delighted to welcome Monique Priestley to the Center for Women & Enterprise as Vermont Project Manager for COVID Business Recovery. She will be supporting women business owners across Vermont as they navigate business ownership and cultivating community partnerships to further Vermont’s economic development efforts through the COVID crisis – and beyond. The Center for Women & Enterprise hosts Vermont’s Women’s Business Center, a partnership with the US Small Business Administration (SBA). Monique’s position is made possible through a supplemental funding opportunity from the SBA to specifically address the needs of business owners during the COVID crisis.

Monique Priestley (she/her) joins CWE after 19 years of working in software and technology. She holds a Masters of Communication in Digital Media from the University of Washington as well as degrees in Digital Media and Graphic Design from Northern Vermont University. In 2017, Monique founded a community- and entrepreneurship-focused coworking space, The Space On Main, and has served on the boards of 20+ nonprofit organizations over the past decade. Monique is excited to join the CWE team as a resource to support small business owners, entrepreneurs, and the economic development of Vermont and New Hampshire communities.

“Monique’s going to be an integral part of the small, enthusiastic team here at CWEVT,” says Gwen Pokalo, CWEVT Director. “Her expertise, personality, and excellence in building strong relationships will enhance CWEVT’s ability to provide Vermont’s entrepreneurs with supports that drive meaning, hope, and strategy in their businesses.”

The Center for Women & Enterprise Vermont is one of the 5 Women’s Business Centers of the Center for Women & Enterprise, a regional economic empowerment non-profit that helps women start and grow their businesses. CWE is home to the Women’s Business Centers of Vermont, New Hampshire, Central Massachusetts, Eastern Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, and the Veterans Business Outreach Center of New England (VBOC of NE). CWE is also the New England affiliate for Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), serving as their certification arm for women-owned businesses.
