CVAA announces appointment of Rachel Lee Cummings as Deputy Executive Director and Sara C Wool as Director of Development and Communications.
Rachel Lee Cummings founded Armistead Senior Care in 1999, growing it into one of the best known homecare providers in Vermont and New Hampshire. After selling her interest in Armistead, Rachel started RLC Guardianship -- providing private guardianship and financial management services to seniors, families and the probate courts. “Rachel has a deep understanding of elder services and CVAA's work. She is also an experienced entrepreneur, with a strong background in business development and proven leadership skills. I feel very fortunate that Rachel has agreed to bring her talent, experience and energy to CVAA,” said CVAA Executive Director, John Michael Hall.
Sara Wool is an experienced Development and Marketing professional, most recently serving as Director of Development & Outreach for LCB Senior Living, LLC and The Residence at Shelburne Bay & Otter Creek (previously Bullrock Corporation and The Lodge at Shelburne Bay & Otter Creek Senior Living). Prior to that, Sara served as Director of Development & Communications for the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington, helping to transform the visibility and fundraising endeavors of the Club to create growth, brand awareness and financial stability. “Sara has a keen understanding of what it takes to raise the profile and brand recognition of organizations like CVAA, and how to translate that into increased tangible increases in fundraising and philanthropy,” noted Hall.
A nonprofit organization established in 1974, CVAA is the premier resource for seniors. With the help of community partners and volunteers, we serve over 10,000 seniors each year in the Champlain Valley (Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties). CVAA provides a wide array of support and services to promote healthy aging.
