Erin Ulmer to become TKT’s fourth Executive Director in July of this year.
On behalf of Camp Ta-Kum-Ta's Board of Directors, President Trevor Sullivan is very pleased to announce that after an extensive national search, Erin Ulmer has been selected to become the 4th Executive Director at Vermont’s Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. Erin comes to TKT having worked the last 12 years at Camp Rise Above in Charleston, South Carolina as their Executive Director. During her tenure, Erin built a variety of programs including overnight camps, in-hospital camps, and day camps for children with serious medical illnesses, life challenges, and disabilities. The Board believes Erin’s leadership background, skillset, and infectious passion for providing children with safe and fulfilling experiences will help lead Camp Ta-Kum-Ta into our next chapter.
Erin shared her excitement about joining the Ta-Kum-Ta community as follows: "I am absolutely thrilled to join the Camp Ta-Kum-Ta family this summer. Having had the privilege of collaborating, volunteering, and learning with the TKT team for years, I am honored to step into this role at such an exciting time for the organization. My family and I cannot wait to call Vermont home, and I look forward to serving the Camp Ta-Kum-Ta community!"
The Board recognizes that leadership transitions are important moments in the life of any organization and is committed to supporting a thoughtful and smooth transition. We also want to thank our current Executive Director, Dennis DePaul, who has graciously committed to work with Erin through her transition to Camp Ta-Kum-Ta to set up Erin and the entire organization for success prior to his retirement at the end of August.
Erin began her role on July 6th. Please join us in welcoming her to the Camp Ta-Kum-Ta community. Notes of welcome may be sent to [email protected].
