C2 has announced its 2012 internship program. Representing four colleges and universities from our region and beyond, including University of Vermont (UVM); Champlain College, Saint Michael’s College and University of Richmond, the program is focused on increasing the number and diversity of students seeking careers as engineering, business and finance professionals by providing on-the-job training and practical experience.
C2 is a Vermont-based technology consulting firm specializing in Internet business solutions and enterprise technology infrastructure. We focus on leveraging industry-leading technologies to create competitive advantage for our clients. As we celebrate our 20th year in business, we are proud to have worked with many brand-name businesses as well as educational and government institutions while earning premiere status partnerships with leading technology vendors such as Microsoft, Dell, VMware, Sitecore and EMC. Our core offerings include eCommerce solutions, Application Development, Enterprise Infrastructure and 24/7 Managed Support.
Our internship program has been going strong for over five years, and typically encompasses up to six interns from universities and colleges in our region and beyond. We have been fortunate to have so many talented and motivated college students working with us over the years – in everything from marketing to accounting to software development. The program has been so successful that we have hired several interns as regular employees once they finished school, and are always proud to hear about their accomplishments before, during and after the time they leave our program, including a recent intern who received a prestigious national award from Google. Hosting the program is truly a win-win as it provides the interns with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work both independently and within a team environment, while gaining on-the-job experience in their respective fields. For C2, we’ve benefited from the fresh perspective, knowledge and energy that these talented young people bring.
