Bryan Memorial Gallery announces the appointment of Gothard as its Executive and Gallery Assistant

Bryan Memorial Gallery announces the appointment of Stephen Gothard of Belvidere Center, VT as its Executive and Gallery Assistant, effective immediately. Gothard will staff the gallery throughout the summer and assist the Executive Director in administrative and public relations activities throughout the year.

Gothard is originally from California and has lived throughout the United States before recently settling in Vermont. He attended university at Purchase College, SUNY in Purchase NY where he earned both his B.A. and his M.A. in art history. After graduating from university, Stephen worked in sales and marketing in the health, media and furnishing design industries. Gothard co-taught at New York University while earning his degree and served on the board of The Arts Council of the Adirondacks from 2008 – 2010. When not at the gallery, he can be found enjoying the natural beauty of the region through hiking, cycling, running and swimming, and has completed the grueling Lake Placid Ironman Triathlon.

Bryan Memorial Gallery is celebrating its 35th year with the exhibition THEN AND NOW, featuring Vermont landscape paintings by 20th century masters alongside paintings by contemporary artists who returned to the same locations. The gallery is open daily, 11 – 5, during the summer months through Indigenous Peoples’ Day, October 14, 2019.
