Attorney Danielle L. Pennetta has joined the Litigation Practice Group at the northern New England law firm of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, where she will practice “of counsel.”Pennetta will also assist the firm’s Energy and Telecommunications Group, and she will be based in DRM’s Burlington office.
An experienced litigator, Pennetta joins the firm after more than ten years of practice in the New York City area. She was an associate at the Paramus, N.J. firm of Melli, Guerin & Melli, PC in the late 1990s, and a senior associate with Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, LLP in White Plains, N.Y., from 1999 to late 2009. Her experience includes having handled all aspects of simple and complex litigation cases, from initial strategy through the appeal process. While managing high exposure negligence cases in both state and federal courts, she has defended a broad scope of clients, including insurance companies, municipalities, a public benefit corporation and a leasing company. She has also represented a national bank in creditor/debtor actions.
Pennetta holds a law degree from Pace University School of Law in White Plains and a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University. She is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and in multiple federal district courts. She is admitted to federal court in Vermont, and is awaiting admission to the Vermont State Bar.
