Montpelier, VT — [July 14, 2026] — Another Way has hired Martin Hahn as a part-time business development specialist, where he will work alongside executive director Ken Russell to support the organization’s day-to-day operations. Another Way is Montpelier’s hub for people who seek alternatives to conventional mental health services, operating a community center that offers peer support, resources, and advocacy for psychiatric survivors and people currently or formerly at serious risk of psychiatric intervention — many of whom are experiencing homelessness.
Hahn brings deep connections to central Vermont’s nonprofit network, with experience leading Downstreet and the Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness and co-leading the Kellogg Hubbard Library. He recently joined the board of Circle, which serves people affected by intimate partner violence in the Washington County area.
Russell welcomed the addition: “Martin’s experience helping to develop humane responses to homelessness and his experience in nonprofit management will support our continued excellence as a peer-led organization in support of psychiatric survivors.”
Another Way recently celebrated its 40th year in operation. At its community center on Barre Street, the organization offers a welcoming daytime space where people can connect with others, share a meal, take a shower, store belongings, create art, and access support including healing circles — along with employment support, peer consultations, a woodworking shop, somatic healing, acu-wellness, and more.
