Wdowiak, RP®, ACP has successfully completed the Certified Paralegal examination and is now entitled to use of the CP professional credential. In addition, by taking and passing additional Continuing Legal Education classes, Lynn has also completed the requirements to be entitled to use of the ACP (Advanced Certified Paralegal) credential. Lynn is among 4 paralegals in Vermont to earn the CP designation and is the first in Vermont to earn the ACP credential. Worldwide there are over 19,000 paralegals who have earned the CP credential and 3,500 paralegals who have earned the ACP designation.
The Certified Paralegal examination is a voluntary professional credentialing program involving successful completion of a two-part comprehensive examination covering the topics of the US Legal System; Civil Litigation; Contracts; Corporate/Commercial Law; Estate Planning and Probate; Real Estate and Property; Torts; Professional and Ethical Responsibility and writing and critical thinking skills. The NALA Certified Paralegal program is accredited by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence.
In 2012, Lynn earned the National Federation of Paralegal Associations Registered Paralegal (RP®) credential. In order to maintain each of these credentials, continuing legal education is required. Lynn has been with Ryan Smith & Carbine, Ltd. since 2010 and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan and a post-graduate Paralegal Certificate from Woodbury College, formerly in Montpelier. Lynn is a Paralegal Member of the Vermont Bar Association, is the Certification Ambassador for the Vermont Paralegal Organization and an avid volunteer at the Rutland County Humane Society, where she also serves on their Board of Directors.
