Vermont Business Roundtable elects new leadership for 2024

At its 37th annual membership meeting, the Vermont Business Roundtable elected the following new officers: Sara Byers (pictured), president at Leonardo’s Pizza, chair; Rebecca Towne, CEO at Vermont Electric Cooperative, vice chair; Neale Lunderville, president and CEO at Vermont Gas Systems, treasurer; and John Sayles, CEO at Vermont Foodbank, secretary.

Members also elected three new directors to their first three-year term: Dr. Sunil “Sunny” Eappen, president and CEO of the University of Vermont Health Network; Evan Langfeldt, CEO at O’Brien Brothers; and Mike Solimano, president and general manager at Killington Resort and Pico Mountain.

Directors elected to their second three-year term were: Suresh Garimella, president of the University of Vermont; Joyce Judy, president of Community College of Vermont; Sarah Morris, fifth generation host at Basin Harbor; Sayles; and Timo Shaw, president at Country Walkers and VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations.

Continuing members of the Roundtable board of directors are: Renee Bourget-Place, partner at KPMG; David Bradbury, president at the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies; Scott Fewell, president at Liquid Measurement Systems; Meg Fleming, president at SymQuest; Dimitri Garder, CEO at Global-Z International; Nicole LaBrecque, senior vice president of administration at PC Construction Co.; Mari McClure, CEO at Green Mountain Power Corp.; Gary Scott, vice president of hospital support services at the University of Vermont Medical Center; and Dan Smith, president and CEO at Vermont Community Foundation.
