UVM appoints chief officer for professional and continuing education

Bettyjo Bouchey, former vice provost for digital strategy and operations at National Louis University, has been appointed chief officer for the professional and continuing education division at the University of Vermont.

Bouchey brings nearly two decades of higher education experience to the state’s flagship land-grant university and its innovative PACE division. She is a graduate of the University at Albany and holds an MBA in entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Doctorate in Education in higher education administration from Northeastern University.

“Professional and continuing education is a key element in the fulfillment of our land-grant mission, providing workforce development for Vermont’s economy and lifelong learning opportunities across fields for students near and far. We couldn’t ask for a stronger leader than Bettyjo for this vital work,” UVM President Suresh Garimella said.
