Thomas Renner joins Cathedral Square Board of Directors

Thomas Renner, city councilor and interim mayor of Winooski, has been appointed to the Board of Directors at Cathedral Square, a local nonprofit dedicated to creating affordable housing for older adults and adults with diverse needs.

Renner's career in public service includes serving as community liaison and constituent services representative to U.S. Rep. Becca Balint and as an assistant to U.S Sen. Patrick Leahy. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont and holds an MBA in government and military leadership from Norwich University.

"Thomas' experience serving Vermonters, from his work with Sen. Leahy to his leadership on the Winooski City Council, gives him a unique understanding of the housing challenges facing our communities," said Cathedral Square CEO Kim Fitzgerald. "His pragmatic approach to development and his commitment to equity align perfectly with our mission, and we're thrilled to welcome him to our board."
