State Reps. Chloe Tomlinson, P/D-Winooski, and Dara Torre, D-Moretown, have been named recipients of 2026 Environmental Rising Star Awards by Vermont Conservation Voters, a nonpartisan organization that works to elect environmentally friendly public officials.
The awards are presented biannually to newer legislators who have stepped up to be effective champions of VCV priority issues in their first or second legislative session and who have a bright future of environmental leadership.
“As the state faces many challenges, we have the consistent effort and dedication of Reps. Torre and Tomlinson working toward solutions that balance both the needs of our communities and protecting the natural resources that make Vermont what it is,” said Dan Fingas, executive director at VCV. “With leaders like them in the Legislature, we know that we have champions who will continue to fight to make a Vermont that works for all Vermonters.”
