As Dr Robert Thorn prepares to leave CSAC after 40 years of service, Rachel Lee Cummings has been selected as the next leader of Addison County’s community mental health and developmental services organization.
Rachel Lee Cummings brings a strong human services and business background to her new position at CSAC. Most recently, she was the Chief Operating Officer at Age Well. Previous to her work at Age Well, Ms. Cummings founded and ran RLC Guardianship Services and Armistead Senior Care, a non-medical home care agency serving clients and families throughout New England. She is active on several non-profit boards of directors, including the Community Health Centers of Burlington, Spectrum Detail Works, and the United Way Women United group.
Ms Cummings says, “I am honored by the opportunity to be the next leader of CSAC and excited to carry forward the critical work this organization has been doing in Addison County. I look forward to working with the amazing staff at CSAC and supporting the clients and consumers who rely on us.” Dr Thorn says, “Rachel has the business acumen and the heart-felt dedication to consumers, clients, and CSAC’s mission that it will take to lead this organization into the 21st century.”
Ms Cummings will start her new position in February in order to overlap with Dr Thorn, who is retiring as of 3/31/19.
