Peter Smiar named Director of Land Development Services

VHB’s South Burlington office is proud to announce that Peter Smiar has been named Director of Land Development Services. Peter Smiar, PE, has been named Director of Land Development Services in VHB’s South Burlington, Vermont office. Peter joined the office as a Senior Site/Civil Project Manager a year ago, and in his new role Peter will oversee the continued growth and development of VHB’s Land Development team while directing business development efforts to enhance the team’s service offerings to our clients.

Peter has more than ten years of experience in planning, design, engineering, and project management with deep Vermont roots. Peter’s experience includes significant engineering and stormwater design projects with the State of Vermont Agricultural and Environmental Laboratory project, the Cambrian Rise project at the former Burlington College Campus, Vermont State Airports, and numerous infill development projects in the greater Burlington Area.

“Peter brings a healthy balance of technical expertise, approachability, and market understanding to this position. We are extremely fortunate to have him leading our Land Development Team to provide integrated land planning, permitting, and civil design services to our clients,” noted Dave Saladino, Managing Director of VHB’s South Burlington office. Peter is a Professional Engineer, licensed in Vermont, and received his MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont.
