Matt Cooke, vice president at PC Construction in South Burlington, VT, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating office at the 100% employee-owned company. In his new role, Cooke, a 22-year employee at PC, will be responsible for overseeing all of the company’s projects and support services, providing operations-focused leadership for project teams across all markets along the eastern seaboard.
“We’re excited to have Matt serve us in this capacity,” said PC President and Chief Executive Officer Jay Fayette. “He is a demonstrated leader with an incredible understanding of the construction industry and of PC. Projects under his direction have consistently met or exceeded owner expectations and PC’s goals. Matt is well-known for forging strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors. We’re very fortunate to have him leading our operations.”
Cooke advanced through PC’s Leadership Development Program upon graduation from Wentworth Institute of Technology, progressing from a field-based project engineer to a senior project manager responsible for growing PC’s client base. From there, he took on senior leadership roles responsible for the company’s buildings operations in Vermont, New Hampshire and New York.
