Owners announce opening of Birth Journeys in Burlington

Birth Journeys, a partnership of two certified childbirth educators and doulas, has just opened a new teaching space at One Main St (Union Station) in Burlington.

“We want families to feel informed and supported, and just as important, we wanted the space to be warm, welcoming and comfortable, like hanging out at home.“ says Birth Journeys partner Jenna Thayer.

Birth Journeys offers a full spectrum of birth care support, from Pregnancy Circles (a peer-supportive group) to New Parent Playgroups with all the fun stuff in between like Childbirth, Newborn and Sibling classes, as well as Labor & Birth Doula services. Stay tuned: pregnancy massage is coming soon!

The childbirth educators at Birth Journeys regularly attend births as doulas, so their classes are fully informed by immediate experience supporting new moms through labor, delivery and their new role as parents.

Birth Journeys partner Genie Henry says “We’re committed to making birth a great experience for every mom. We’re also passionate about celebrating pregnancy and birth, which is why we are making our new space available for baby showers and blessingways as well.”
