The American Red Cross New Hampshire & Vermont Region recently welcomed two new board members and two new staff members.
Eric Gagnon, Assistant Dean for Facilities Administration and Planning in the Larner College of Medicine’s Dean’s Office at the University of Vermont, joined the Board of Directors in November. He has held a variety of financial and administration positions in the college for the past eighteen years. In addition, he is an active member of the Vermont Army National Guard where he holds the rank of Colonel. In his current assignment as Commander of the Garrison Support Command, he oversees a diverse variety of units spanning the aviation, band, cyber, emergency response, medical, military police, public affairs, and range operations specialties.
Christa Corzatt, Vice President of Human Resources for Fidelity Investments in Exeter, NH, joined the Board of Directors in November. She brings to the role a high level of leadership and organizational expertise. At Fidelity Investments, Mrs. Corzatt serves as a Senior Talent Partner that develops and advances talent management priorities including executive and leadership development, growth and mobility practices, organizational effectiveness and leadership coaching. She is a member of the business-line executive team.
Wendy Lapham was hired as Regional Chief Communications Officer in November. Before moving to New Hampshire in June, she served as a Public Information Officer in K-12 public education, where she also handled public relations, media relations, and social media management. She began her career as a reporter in Lamoille County, VT, and gained nonprofit experience in multiple roles at the International Literacy Association. She was a key member of the Emergency Response Team for a school district of 31 schools and programs, and served as organizational spokesperson and communications liaison to parents, the media, and the public.
James Segerson was hired as Regional Disaster Officer in November. He started with the American Red Cross in May 2015 as the Regional Preparedness Specialist for the Western and Central New York Region. In 2016 he served as Regional Mass Care Manager for the Greater New York Region, and most recently served as an Interim Senior Disaster Program Manager in Greater New York. Segerson has deployed nationally to several relief operations, and most recently worked as the District 1 Director in North Carolina following Hurricane Florence.
