Mike Tuttle, President and CEO of Merchants Bank, announced two new management appointments at the company. Zoe Erdman has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Senior Operations Officer; Laura Abbott will serve as the new Senior Credit Officer. Both women each bring more than two decades of experience in banking and finance to their new positions.
In her new position, Zoe will manage information technology, facilities and operations at the bank. Laura will be responsible for managing the credit department and monitoring the bank’s loan portfolio.
“We are pleased to have Zoe and Laura take on these new responsibilities. It is always exciting to promote from within when possible,” Tuttle said. “They are very capable managers who will bring great insight and valuable experience to their new positions.”
Erdman served as Senior Credit Officer of Merchants Bank from April, 2011 until her new appointment. During her more than 15 years at the bank, she has served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Banking Officer and as Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Manager.
Abbott served as Credit Operations and Loan Compliance Officer at Merchants before her new appointment. Apart from a few years at the Vermont Housing Finance Agency, she has worked at Merchants throughout her career.
