Intelligence Specialist 2nd Class Jacob Hewitt, from Swanton, Vermont, smiles for a photo after recently being promoted to second class petty officer aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship (LHD 5). Hewitt is a 2016 Missisquoi Valley Union High School Graduate and has been serving in the Navy for two years. Hewitt comes from a long line of military service and provides intelligence reports to commanders as an intelligence specialist. Bataan and the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group are now deployed in the US 6th Fleet area of operations.
