Howard Center welcomes new board members, elects officers

Michael Couture (pictured), owner of Michael Couture Media, will serve as the new president of the Howard Center Board of Trustees, leading a recently elected slate of officers.

Couture is joined by the following new officers: Heather Blackman, network director of payer contracting at University of Vermont Health Network, vice president; Karen Tyler, associate general counsel at University of Vermont Health Network, secretary; and John McSoley, retired partner at McSoley McCoy & Co., who was reelected to a three-year term and will continue in this role.

The newly elected members of the board are: Abe Berman, chief financial officer at Tapestry Health; Michael Bradshaw, director of sales and marketing at Great Eastern Radio; Patrick Brown, founder and executive director at the Greater Burlington Multicultural Resource Center; Dr. Jessica O’Neil, assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine; Cassie Polhemus, retired CEO at Vermont Economic Development Authority; and Cyndee Cochrane Sturtevant.

They join returning board member Yves Bradley, a partner at V/T Commercial, who was also reelected for an additional three-year term.
