Katie Keidel, former development officer at Vermont Family Network, has been named development manager at Girls on the Run Vermont, a nonprofit organization designed to enhance the social, emotional and physical skills of third- to eighth-grade girls.
Keidel, the mother of an elementary school-age child, brings to her new role a strong background in both education and development.
“Empowering girls to reach their fullest potential and become active, engaged members of the community is essential," she said. "I am eager for the day when my own daughter can participate in this fantastic program.”
Keidel is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds a Master of Education in special education from the University of Vermont. She recently served as the parent representative on the Vermont Multi-Tiered System of Supports state leadership team.
