CVMC hires three new physical therapists

Central Vermont Medical Center recently hired three new physical therapists: Sarah McNamee, Timothy Mousette and Angela Nicknair.

Sarah McNamee worked most recently in the Mad River Valley. She received her BS in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, where she also earned a BS in Zoology. Sarah has had further education in Tree of Life Teachings, Mindfulness Meditation and Reiki.

Timothy Mousette earned his BS in Kinesiology and his doctorate in Physical Therapy at Husson University in Bangor, Maine. He also completed a sports management internship.

Angela Nicknair also earned her doctorate in Physical Therapy at Husson University in Bangor, Maine. She was previously employed at the Carey Medical Center in Caribou, Maine.

“There is a demonstrated need for these services in our community,” stated Central Vermont Medical Center President and CEO Judy Tartaglia. “Bringing on additional therapists should solve the problem for new patients who have been frustrated at the wait times to get an appointment.”

CVMC offers services in the following disciplines: physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) and speech language pathology (SLP). Rehabilitation’s specialized services are amputee/prosthetic training, aquatic therapy, arthritis rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, facial pain/temporal mandibular joint, fall prevention clinic, firefighter fit test, fluency/stuttering, functional capacity evaluation, geriatric rehabilitation, hand therapy, language/aphasia, lymphedema therapy, manual therapy services, motor speech therapy, neurological disorders therapy, orthotics fabrication, pediatric rehabilitation, pre-driver assessment, post hire/pre-employment screening, running/gait analysis, sensory integration, spinal rehabilitation program, sports Therapy, swallowing function therapy, urinary incontinence/pelvic pain, vestibular program (vertigo), voice therapy, wheel chair assessments, work rehabilitation and wound care.
