Christine Brown has been promoted from director to acting deputy commissioner of the Captive Insurance Division at the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation. In her new role, she is responsible for the administration and regulation of captive insurance companies and risk retention groups in the state.
Brown joined the Captive Division in 2003 and had served as director since 2022. Prior to that, she spent seven years in public accounting, including four years at Johnson Lambert, in Burlington, and three years with Ernst & Young, in Boston.
Brown is a graduate of Regis College and holds a master's degree in accounting and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.
