People’s United Bank Retirement Services is proud to announce, Wayne Braun, has earned the Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent Designation.
Wayne Braun, is the first in Vermont, to earn the Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent designation (ERPA). An ERPA is a person who has earned the privilege of practicing before the Internal Revenue Service. The ERPA designation was newly created by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and allows Wayne to represent clients before the IRS on employee benefit plan issues similar to certified public accountants and attorneys.
Wayne is responsible for the management of actuarial services for clients with defined benefit plans, consulting services provided to clients and assisting in management of the retirement services division. He is also responsible for industry specific technology and automating processes.
Wayne began his career with People’s United Bank (formerly National Pension Service, Inc.) in 2001, as a Pension Administrator. He was later promoted to Manager of the Actuarial and Consulting Services.
Wayne holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Clarkson University. Wayne is also designated as a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) through the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Wayne is currently studying to become an actuary through the Society of Actuaries.
Wayne is an active member of his community. He serves as a youth mentor in a Christian youth group and is involved in supporting organizations that benefit youth such as Everyone’s Child and Kids in Kenya. He is an instrument rated pilot and enjoys flying around New England. Wayne resides in South Burlington with wife, Julie.
