Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company is proud to formally announce the appointment of Rick Woods as Vice President of Creamery Operations. Rick Woods will be head of cheese production and research both at our South Woodstock creamery and also at our new Windsor, VT production and affinage facility coming online in the summer of 2011. Rick Woods brings 16 years of cheese making expertise and an award-winning reputation from his tenure at Grafton Village Cheese where he held positions ranging from Cheesemaker to Plant Manager to Regional Sales Manager. “Rick’s commitment and passion for the craft of artisanal and farmstead cheeses and his experience leading a successful cheesemaking operation makes him a key player in the future success of Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company,” said Kent Underwood, COO of Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company.
The Vermont Farmstead Cheese Co., is the first community owned artisan cheese and dairy facility in Vermont. The company was conceived and founded as a community based effort to preserve the rural way of life in South Woodstock.
