Vermont Farm to School appoints new network coordinator

Dana Hudson

Dana Hudson, a longtime advocate of the farm to school movement in Vermont, has been named network coordinator at the Vermont Farm to School and Early Childhood Network in Sherburne.

In her new role, Hudson works with diverse partners across Vermont to foster learning, collaboration and innovation to advance farm-to-school and farm-to-early-childhood programs in Vermont. Approximately 90% of Vermont schools purchase at least some Vermont products, and more than 100 Vermont farms sell to schools and early-childhood programs.

“We are delighted to welcome Dana to the Network in this leadership position,” said Betsy Rosenbluth, farm to school director at Shelburne Farms Institute for Sustainable Schools. “She is passionate about agriculture and education, and her experience from roles at Vermont FEED, National Farm to School Network and the Northeast Farm to School Collaborative allow her to hit the ground running.”

Hudson is a graduate of Frostburg State University in Maryland and holds a master's degree in environmental studies from Antioch University New England in Keene, New Hampshire.
