UVM Center on Aging announces staff appointments

William Pendlebury, MD, director of the University of Vermont (UVM) Center on Aging and a UVM College of Medicine professor of pathology and neurology, has announced the following appointments at the Center on Aging: Jeanne Hutchins, manager of Elder Care Services at Fletcher Allen Health Care, will serve as program manager; Barbara McIntosh, PhD, professor of business administration, has been appointed associate director, policy; Paul Newhouse, MD, professor of psychiatry, has been appointed associate director, research; and Deborah Worthley, director of UVM’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes, has been appointed associate director, education. Established through a $5 million gift from Burlington philanthropist Lois Howe McClure, the Center on Aging at the UVM was launched in July 2008. Its mission is to coordinate and support collaborative education, policy-making activities, and research in the gerontology and geriatrics arena.
