Two new trustees named to Lamoille Housing Partnership board

Lamoille Housing Partnership, an affordable housing developer based in Morrisville, announced the appointments of Heather Davis and Emily Neilsen to three-year terms on its board of trustees.

Davis is well-versed in housing issues, having worked at the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity and the Champlain Housing Trust as well as for the state of Vermont. She holds a master's degree in sustainable development.

Neilsen is supervisor at the Lamoille Valley School Engagement Program at the Lamoille Restorative Center. She is a graduate of Skidmore College and holds a master's degree from Bowling Green State University.

“Emily and Heather each bring years of invaluable knowledge, relevant experience and an understanding of the spectrum needs in our region that support LHP’s work providing safe, affordable housing for people in the greater Lamoille Valley region,” said LHP board president David Ford.

Established in 1991, Lamoille Housing Partnership has developed and preserved over 280 income-eligible, affordable rental apartments and homes for lower- and moderate-income households in Lamoille County and the town of Hardwick. The organization’s current projects, Village Center and River Bend Apartments, add 40 income-eligible affordable rental apartments to Morrisville and Stowe.
