Norwich University has appointed alumni Alfred J. Gobeille and Vincent T. McDermott to five-year terms on its 33-member board of trustees. Both will serve on the board's budget and finance committee, among others.
Gobeille, a 1986 Norwich graduate, served from 2019 to 2023 as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the University of Vermont Health Network. Prior to that, he served in state government as secretary of the Agency of Human Services and chairman of the Green Mountain Care Board. Gobeille and his wife, Kim, also owned and operated Gobeille Hospitality in Burlington for almost three decades.
McDermott, a 1990 Norwich graduate, is senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Mass General Brigham Community Division in Boston. He is a guest lecturer in the master's degree program at Harvard Medical School and serves on several boards across the Northeast. McDermott holds a Master of Accounting and a Master of Healthcare Administration, both from Suffolk University.
