Alfred Gobeille, CEO at Gobeille Hospitality, has been elected chair of the board of trustees at Norwich University, his alma mater. Gobeille, former executive vice president and chief operating officer at the University of Vermont Health Network and former secretary of the Vermont Agency of Human Services, succeeds Alan DeForest, who served as chair the past nine years.
“I offer my hearty congratulations to Mr. Gobeille and look forward to collaborating with him in advancing Norwich’s mission,” said Norwich President John Broadmeadow. “I also extend my deepest appreciation to Alan DeForest for his steadfast dedication and wise counsel, which have been invaluable during my tenure.”
Gobeille, a 1986 graduate of the university, has served as a Norwich trustee since January 2024. He is a veteran of the Army and a respected civic leader.
