HomeShare Vermont welcomes Shannon Treacy and Lisa Meyer to their team! With an aging population and more people wanting to remain in their homes, additional program staff will allow HomeShare Vermont to continue providing exceptional service as needs grow.
Shannon Treacy joined HomeShare Vermont as an Intake and Outreach Assistant. Originally from upstate New York, Shannon graduated with a B.A. from Siena College and worked for 4 years at Achievements doing similar work to what she will do with HomeShare Vermont. Shannon will focus on reaching out to more community members who would benefit from HomeShare Vermont’s programs and services.
Lisa Meyer came to HomeShare Vermont after working for five years with the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties and her experience as a Registered Nurse makes her an exciting addition to the staff. Lisa was drawn to HomeShare Vermont because of its mission to help seniors and adults with disabilities remain in their homes. Of her career change, Lisa says, “I am very committed to helping people remain at home and advocating for that choice.” Lisa will serve as a Case Manager at HomeShare Vermont and will work closely both with the homesharing and caregiving programs.
HomeShare Vermont helps seniors and adults with disabilities remain in their homes with the help of homesharers or caregivers. Last year, HomeShare Vermont helped 147 of our neighbors stay at home with the help of homesharers and caregivers. HomeShare Vermont is a non-profit organization and a member agency of the United Way of Chittenden County.
