Donald N. Weinberg, M.D., FACP recently joined the Central Vermont Medical Center Hospitalist staff. “Dr. Weinberg’s years of experience as a primary care physician will serve his patients well as he moves into the role of Hospitalist,” noted Judy Tarr, CVMC President and CEO. “Primary Care Physicians essentially turn over the care of their patients to Hospitalists and Dr. Weinberg understands the nuances of the responsibility that is being turned over to him.”
Dr. Weinberg received his B.S. in Biochemical Sciences Cum Laude from the University of Vermont and his M.D. from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, a Yale affiliate, in New Haven, Connecticut. He was also Chief Medical Resident in his final year at Saint Raphael.
He practiced family medicine for 20 years at the Thomas Chittenden Health Center in Williston, Vermont. Dr. Weinberg is a member of the American College of Physicians and Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
“I will miss my patients and colleagues at Thomas Chittenden but after 20 years, I needed a change,” stated Weinberg. “I love hospital medicine and am happy to have the chance to go back to my roots.”
Dr. Weinberg and his wife Merle live in Williston.
