CSC welcomes new executive director

Collaborative Solutions Corporation (CSC) is pleased to announce that James McDonald has recently been named as the Executive Director of the Corporation. Jim has been with the company in the Program Director role since May 2010 and he has over 20 years experience working in the Human Services field. Prior to joining CSC, Jim was the Director of Children, Youth and Family Services for Lamoille Community Connections in Morrisville VT and he served a the Program Director at United Services Inc in Dayville CT. With a BSW degree from Rhode Island College in Providence RI and a MBA from Nichols College in Dudley MA, Jim brings a wealth of both clinical and business expertise to his new role. Under his leadership CSC expanded to a second facility in Westford VT. That facility has been up and running since the Fall of 2013.

CSC was developed in 2006 as a collaborative between Clara Martin Center, HowardCenter and Washington County Mental Health Services. The purpose of the corporation was to draw upon each agency’s strengths to develop creative solutions to strengthen the system of care for mental health services in Vermont. The first program created was a residential living setting in Williamstown, Vermont called Second Spring. Under his leadership and guidance Jim McDonald has replicated this program at a second site located in Westford, VT. These programs offer a community based supported living environment which incorporates hope and recovery principles for persons who have previously been hospitalized at an inpatient psychiatric treatment facility.
