Nancy Van Milligen, president and CEO at the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, and Robin Mayer, principal at Mayer & Associates, have joined the board of trustees at Community Heart & Soul.
Van Milligen, who joined the Community Foundation at the time of its founding in 2003, has established the organization as a trailblazer in community leadership and engagement initiatives. Her success bringing together nonprofit organizations, businesses and community volunteers, as well as her extensive service on numerous boards and commissions, will bring invaluable insights to Community Heart & Soul.
Mayer opened her strategic communications consulting firm in New England in 2007 and relocated to North Carolina in 2022. The firm provides services in traffic safety, communications, and social media training for state and local governments. As a freelance writer, Mayer has written numerous articles about Community Heart & Soul, highlighting its transformative impact on small towns.
