Community Bank has promoted John Keshavan to senior vice president and chief credit officer, and Bruce Bernier to regional credit officer.
In his new position, Keshavan will be responsible for overseeing lines of credit and credit administrative functions for all banking businesses, including enhancing the credit function and operations across the organization. He is a finance graduate of the University of Vermont.
“We’re excited to see John operate in this new position,” President of Commercial Banking Matthew Durkee said. “This is a very well-deserved promotion for him — his thoughtful leadership, decades of experience in the industry and more will bring tremendous opportunities for our business and those he works closely with.”
Bernier, a graduate of the University of Maine, most recently served as group manager for the New England Region in Community Bank's commercial banking division. In his new position, he will be responsible for the review and assessment of commercial credit across the institution's commercial lending portfolio.
“We’re thrilled to announce Bruce’s promotion,” Keshavan said. “As Bruce steps into his newly appointed role, his extensive experience, dedication and proven leadership will undoubtedly strengthen our credit operations to better serve our customers across the New England market.”
